Throughout the year, PTC has many opportunities to volunteer. Some monthly or one and done! Please check back monthly to see updated sign up geniuses for different events. If you have questions, please email the PTC at PTCburg@gmail.com
Events/Committees
Artwork Hang: Volunteers needed to help hang art for Ms. Bailey each month in the hallways
Birthday Board: Plans and decorates the birthday bulletin board at the beginning of each month to recognize the birthdays for students of each month.
Breakfast with a Buddy: Volunteers are needed for set up, serving drinks and donuts, and clean-up for this fun-filled morning for a special grown up and their student!
Carnival: This event takes many volunteers to put together! We will need help with planning, decorating, running games, handing out popcorn, etc.
Conference Meals: Facilitates the provision of dinner for teachers during conferences in the Fall and Spring.
Cub crawl (walk-a-thon): Only Fundraiser of the year! We will need volunteers to help with the event planning, set up, tear down, and running of this event! Cub crawl takes place during the end of the school day in the fall!
Field Day: Helps the PE teacher in the coordination of volunteers to assist with field day.
Greens Committee (Outdoor Classroom): The Outdoor Classroom opened as of May 2022 thanks to the awesome fundraising efforts. We will need volunteers to help maintain the area. Fall & Spring clean up as well as regular maintenance of the area.
Holiday Crafts: This is an event held in December of each year. We need volunteers to plan and facilitate crafts to be done by the students during the school day to give as holiday gifts.
Interschool Advisory Council(ISAC): We need 1 volunteer to attend the monthly ISAC meetings for the district and report back to the PTC at our monthly meetings.
Mileage club: This happens twice weekly during recess in the fall and spring! Children walk or run laps in a designated area and receive small rewards for doing so! We need volunteers to help mark lap cards & cheer the students on! Help us keep our kiddos active!
Popcorn: Popcorn day is typically the last Friday of each month. We need volunteers to pop popcorn that morning and prepare it for distribution at the school. Responsible for ensuring proper supplies (popcorn, oil, bags etc.) are available.
Teacher Appreciation Week: Typically held in the first week of May, we need volunteers to plan and coordinate a week of treats for our teachers. Past ideas have included breakfast or lunch, coffee, giftcards, flowers, decorated parking spaces etc. The teachers work hard and we love having this week to let them know how much we appreciate them.
Website Committee: We need a volunteer to ensure the maintenance & updates of the Cannonsburg PTC website.
